We are now into our sixth season as a squad and have a squad of 18, soon to be 19 players of mixed ability. I have seen them play good quality football and know they can be hard working individually for the team although at present our league position reflects neither of these.

We have now moved in to the teenage years and the previously angelic bunch or reprobates have changed shape to the extent that I have not yet had clearance to put an image of them on the web on public health and safety grounds. I will do it though and when you look at them you’ll see what I mean. Even I don’t look forward to meeting them!

Dan and I are both Level 1 FA qualified and are assisted by various Dad’s as and when they can and the need arises.

The support of the parents for the players is whole hearted, vocal and humorous and aimed at the kids at present although once we get a win under our belts that may change back in my direction.

At present I’m not looking for any additional players but if you are new to the area or are looking for a new club give me a call. If your player tries hard they needn’t be gifted but must be able to kick a ball and learn. Heading the ball, run in a straight line, tie laces tight, knowing  all the words to the national anthem/ Jerusalem and know  who Zaphod Beeblebrox is would almost guarantee a full match each weekend.
